Antonio Maria Martini, was born in Italy. After graduating in art history and costume he was awarded by the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. His first experience was by opening his own fashion house in Florence made by measure, but with the 'advent of  the ready to wear he decided also do an internship at MaxMara, before going to complete his studies in fashion designer Parson School.

 

In New York he met Oleg Cassini, the great designer of the first lady Jacqueline Kennedy, and became Cassini's assistant. As first creative director and vice president of the company, and having contributed to the development of the Cassini's Brand, he rebuilt the image of the brand. He brought Oleg Cassini up to date with new concepts and developed the licencing business to increase profitablity of the business from $70Million to $900Million dollars under his direction.

 

In 1992, being the first Italian designer to Show in China -- the only one in the world to make a fashion show in Tibet, August 14, 2002 -- he created and launched many new brands in China and Italy. He has consulted for major brands in Italy, is the Honorary Professor at the Normal University'of Shengyan, Liaoning provence, a judge for most of the universities' student competitions around China, as well as being the Pink Power publisher of the  of the monthly Chinese fashion Magazine Rayli.
